Abstrak

Papua merupakan salah satu wilayah tropis dengan keanekaragaman flora tertinggi di dunia, namun informasi mengenai kekayaan spesies, sebaran, dan status konservasinya masih terbatas. Pada September 2025, dilakukan survei vegetasi di hutan dataran rendah dan pegunungan bawah Kampung Fef menggunakan 38 petak contoh berukuran 20 × 20 m. Survei ini mencatat 294 spesies tumbuhan dari 81 famili dengan sekitar 1.561 individu yang mencakup berbagai bentuk pertumbuhan. Diantaranya terdapat 11 spesies endemik Papua dan enam spesies bernilai konservasi tinggi. Tingginya keanekaragaman dan nilai konservasi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hutan Fef merupakan habitat penting bagi pelestarian keanekaragaman hayati di kawasan Kepala Burung Papua serta menjadi dasar ilmiah bagi penelitian lanjutan dan upaya konservasi jangka panjang.
